The Role
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a hands-on marketer to build their career from the ground up. You will be the bridge between the company's digital world and the customers on the ground. You will be responsible for creating their online presence while also engaging directly with their market through field activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Management: Plan and execute all digital marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
- Content & Social Media: Create, curate, and manage high-quality, engaging content across all social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok). Monitor and engage with our online community.
- SEO & SEM: Conduct keyword research, on-page optimization, and technical SEO to improve organic search rankings. Manage Google Ads (PPC) campaigns to maximize ROI.
- Email Marketing: Build and manage email lists, design and code email templates, and execute email campaigns (e.g., newsletters, promotional blasts, nurture sequences) to generate leads and drive conversions.
- Analytics & Reporting: Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs). Use insights to optimize future campaigns.
- Website Management: Work with the web development team to ensure the website is optimized for user experience and conversion (A/B testing, landing pages).
- Brand Management: Ensure all marketing output aligns with the company’s brand identity, voice, and goals.
- Trendspotting: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and testing new emerging channels.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, graphic design, or a related field. Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio and relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proven ability to create engaging visual content. Proficiency with Canva is a must; knowledge of other design software is a strong advantage.
- Hands-on experience managing business social media pages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
- A proactive, energetic, and creative mindset with a willingness to learn.
- MUST be comfortable with a MIX of office-based work and field marketing activities.
- A degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
